The history of Bresina’s goes all the way back to 1901, when Wenzel Bresina opened the original tavern in a wood-framed building. Over the years, the business grew right along with the community. The original building was even moved across the road with draft horses to make room for a larger brick building, and local legend says customers kept drinking during the move. By 1921, Bresina’s Bar and Dance Hall was completed, becoming a longtime gathering place for dances, weddings, parties, and everyday socializing.

That deep local history still gives the place its character today. Through generations of the Bresina family and later ownership changes, the bar kept its hometown identity and eventually reclaimed the Bresina name. Today, Bresina’s Hometown Bar & Grill continues that tradition with a welcoming, unpretentious feel, strong local following, and a menu known for pizza, burgers, fish fry, pork steak, dumplings, and other comfort-food favorites.
